When you install and use the After Sale App, we access certain data from your Shopify store as required to provide the App’s functionality. This includes:

Customer Data

  • Sensitive personal data – including customer name, email address, phone number, and physical address, used to identify customers and present relevant post-purchase upsell offers.
  • Device and activity data – including geolocation, IP address, browser type, and operating system, used to deliver and optimize the upsell experience on thank you and order status pages.

Store Owner Data

  • Store owner information – including name, email address, phone number, and physical address, used to authenticate and manage your App installation.

Store Data

  • Products and collections – accessed in read-only mode to display upsell product offers to customers after checkout.
  • Order data – we access and edit order records (including all order history for the last 60 days) to add products to existing orders without requiring a new checkout process.

3. How We Use the Information

We use the accessed data solely for the following purposes:

  • To display relevant upsell product offers on the thank you page and order status page.
  • To add selected products to existing customer orders after checkout completion.
  • To apply discount offers (percentage or fixed amount) to after-sale purchases.
  • To prevent duplicate products from being added to orders already containing them.
  • To track revenue generated from after-sale product additions.
  • To authenticate your store and provide technical support.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data or your customers’ data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security

All data accessed through the App is handled securely. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Customer data is accessed only as necessary to fulfill the App’s core functionality.

5. Customer Data Responsibility

As a Shopify merchant using the After Sale App, you are responsible for ensuring your customers are informed about how their data is used in accordance with your own store’s privacy policy. The App accesses customer data solely to enable the post-purchase upsell experience and does not use it for any other purpose.

6. Third-Party Services

The After Sale App processes customer purchases through Shopify’s native checkout. We do not share customer data with independent third-party advertising or analytics platforms. All transactions facilitated through the App are handled via Shopify’s secure checkout infrastructure.

7. Data Retention

We retain store and order data only for as long as the App is installed and active on your store. Order data accessed through the App covers the last 60 days as permitted by Shopify’s API. Upon uninstallation, data is deleted in accordance with Shopify’s mandatory data deletion policies.
